The Media

Level: ,
Topic: , , ,

In this B2 Speaking Activitystudents talk about the media and how they get informed.

Students revise grammar contents like the contrast between present and past tenses and modal verbs. In the section of Speaking skills, they look at ways to express preference and emphasis.

Some B2 phrasal verbs to talk about the media, (radio, television and newspapers) are also given, together with B2 level vocabulary to talk about the news industry. Several idioms and common expressions are also introduced, so students become familiar with them.

This B2 Speaking activity includes speaking questions about how we get informed and whether we trust the media, about censorship, and also about how technology is changing the way we access information. This way, they will integrate all the contents on their worksheet while they talk.

You can also download the teacher and student’s feedback templates at the bottom of the download box. With them, you will be able to give your students well-structured individual feedback to take home.
