Mortgage Survey

Topic: ,
Keywords: ,

This is an intralinguistic (English-English) C2 Written Mediation Task.

As you will see, it differs slightly from more conventional mediation tasks, as it has been designed to test students’ ability to summarize.

However, as students naturally activate other mediation strategies and microskills when they are summarizing, these have also been outlined in the Guide for the Evaluator.

In “Mortgage Survey”, students are asked to summarize a 380-word text highlighting the most significant differences between two types of mortgage surveys to help a neighbor who is planning to buy a house in Canada.
