Fake News

This is an intralinguistic (English-English) B2 Oral and Written Mediation Task.

In «Fake News», students are asked to help a friend who got a message in a WhatsApp that he can’t fully understand and would really like to, as he doesn’t know how he should take it.

You have the same situation available in Oral and Written Mediation format, so you can choose the one that suits you best.

Students naturally activate several mediation strategies and microskills when they are mediating, like selecting relevant information, adapting the language by explaining specific terminology and connecting with previous knowledge, among others.

All the strategies that students are expected to use in this particular task have been outlined in the Guide for the Evaluator, which you will find extremely useful.
