Closing the loop

Level: ,
Topic:
Keywords: ,

In this Spanish-English Mediation Worksheet students are asked to explain and illustrate the expression «Closing the loop» using different sources. This mediation task has been designed for practicing mediation of concepts. It is a B1+ cross-linguistic (Spanish-English) mediation task.

In the pre-mediation section, students revise relative pronouns «that» and «what», and they also look at a way to simplify a text as part of their strategy training.

Students A and B have different sources of information. Thus their worksheets are different.

There is a written mediation task that you can download as a follow-up task.

This mediation activity is excellent to train several mediation strategies:

  • explaining a new concept
  • simplifying the information
  • selecting the most relevant information
  • expanding on the data from a diagram
